Claudia Fuentes hand-sews and hand-paints beautiful, one-of-a-kind, custom beach coverups, clothes and accessories at an affordable price. A native of Colombia, Claudia moved to Aruba nearly 30 years ago and has been working on the island ever since.

 

Since she was a little girl, Claudia watched fashion shows, dreamed of her own designs being featured and of one day being a fashion designer. With the advice and support of her mother, Paula, she bought a sewing machine, took lessons and found a painting teacher. Now, she combines her two passions, painting and sewing, to make clothes with designs that are inspired by Aruba's beautiful scenery. People come from all of the world visit her while in Aruba, to get their own custom pieces, or to look through her most recent designs.
